The police say they know who the man is who fired shots on a terrace in the center of Tilburg last Saturday night. Two photos have been circulated of the man, on which he has been made unrecognizable. “We urgently ask him to come forward,” the police wrote.

In the shooting after midnight on Saturday, a 29-year-old Tilburger was injured when he was shot at on the Heuvelring on the terrace. Shortly afterwards, officers rushed to see two men fleeing.
Escaped
One of the men is a 22-year-old man from Drunen. He was arrested and is still in custody. The other man escaped. His identity is known to the police, but they do not know where he is.
The police are urgently calling on this suspect to come forward. Witnesses are also requested to come forward.

Firearm found
A large part of the Heuvelring was closed to the public and motorists after the shooting. During the investigation that followed, the firearm that presumably had been used was found. It is being examined for traces. Just like the car that the two suspects wanted to flee in.
By 1 a.m., police said the matter was under control and that there was no longer a threat to visitors to the center.
