Police escort hundreds of migrants to new camp Lesbos

Hellenic police are escorting hundreds of migrants to it new tent camp on Lesvos. Seventy female agents with interpreters try to convince women to go to the camp with their children. According to the police, 450 people have now been relocated.

On Monday, 800 people already moved into the tents. There is room for at least 5000 people. No press is allowed.

Arson

The new camp was built because of the fire that destroyed the Moria camp last week, where more than 12,000 people lived. Since then, thousands of migrants have been living on the streets. Many hope to be able to go to other places in Europe via the mainland.

Tuesday were five people arrested on suspicion of arson.
