Two men have been arrested in the investigation into the latest shooting incident in the Vechtstraat in Amsterdam South, the police reported Thursday. The suspects are in complete restrictions and are only allowed to have contact with their lawyer.
One of the suspects, a 21-year-old from Amsterdam, was arrested in Leeuwarden on Wednesday around 5 p.m. In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, a second suspect was arrested in Amsterdam West, a 20-year-old from Amsterdam.
In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, a house in the Amsterdam Vechtstraat was shot at, whereby a 19-year-old person was injured. On Tuesday during the day, a shooting incident also took place in the same street with one injured as a result. It is still unclear whether there is a connection between these two incidents.
According to Het Parool is the 19-year-old person rapper Bigidagoe. The house that was shot would be his. However, the police cannot yet confirm this.
