Police are questioning the president’s neighborhood. Examines suspected non-assistance – ČT24 – Czech Television

“I can confirm that I have given an explanation and answered all the questions asked to the police authority,” Kruliš wrote to ČTK. Neither the police nor the prosecutor’s office commented on the case. “Criminal proceedings are not public at this stage, so I will not provide further information at the moment,” Lukáš Hossinger, district attorney in Rakovník, told Aktuálně.cz and Respekt earlier.

The case of possible non-provision of assistance is supervised by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rakovník, the case of possible forgery of the signature then falls under the District Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prague 6.

President Zeman has been hospitalized at the Central Military Hospital (ÚVN) since October 10. The ambulance took him to the hospital from the Lány chateau shortly after the departure of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO), who had previously met with the head of state for less than an hour. According to the Castle, the president had been ill in the last two weeks before that. iROZHLAS stated that his family, closest collaborators and the attending physician and director of ÚVN Miroslav Zavoral persuaded him to be hospitalized.

On Monday, October 18, Senate President Miloš Vystrčil (ODS) published the ÚVN report. She stated that Zeman was unable to perform any work duties for health reasons. At the same time, it turned out that Chancellor Mynář had known about the hospital’s position since 13 October. Nevertheless, on October 14, he allowed a visit by the outgoing Speaker of the House, Radek Vondráček (YES), during which the President signed a decision convening the House. The authenticity of this signature was then questioned. The Chancellor objected to forging the signature and showed a video of the document’s signature at a briefing on October 21.
