TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya took over the handling of the abuse case by Mario Dandy, son of a former Director General of Taxation official. This case was previously investigated by the South Jakarta Metro Police.
Investigators from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Metro Police took a number of steps, namely by raising the legal status of AG, Mario Dandy’s girlfriend. AG, 15 years old, who was originally a child in conflict with the law, has now grown into a child in conflict with the law.
In addition, Metro Police investigators have charged the suspects in the abuse of Mario Dandy Satriyo, 20 years and Shane Lukas, 19 years with new articles.
Director of General Criminal Research (Dirreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Hengki Haryadi said the suspect Mario Dandy is now being charged with Article 355 of the Criminal Code paragraph 1 subsidiary of Article 354 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code subsidiary of Article 353 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code subsidiary of Article 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code and or 76c
“Juncto 80 of the Child Protection Law carries a maximum threat of 12 years in prison,” said Hengki Haryadi during a press conference, Thursday, March 2, 2023.

Previously, while being handled at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Mario Dandy was charged with Article 76c Juncto Article 80 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection with a maximum penalty of five years subsidiary and Article 351 of the Criminal Code paragraph 2 concerning serious maltreatment with a maximum penalty of five years.
In addition, said Hegki, there was also a change in the article against suspect S, becoming Article 355 paragraph 1 juncto 56 of the Criminal Code, a subsidiary of Article 354 paragraph 1 Juncto 56 of the Criminal Code, a subsidiary of Article 353 paragraph 2 juncto 56 of the Criminal Code, a subsidiary of Article 351 paragraph 2 in conjunction with 56 of the Criminal Code and or Article 76c juncto 80 of the Child Protection Act,” he said.
Previously, suspect S was charged with Article 76c in conjunction with Article 80 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
Hengki explained that the amendment to the article was due to the fact that the suspects did not provide true information.
“After we adjusted it to the CCTV, with other evidence, we adjusted it to the WhatsApp chat, all the roles were described there,” said Hengki.
Polda Metro raises the legal status of AG, Mario Dandy’s girlfriend
Polda Metro Jaya has also raised the legal status of Mario Dandy’s female friend, namely AG, to become a child in conflict with the law because he was dragged into the abuse case of D, 17 years old.
“There has been a change in status from AG, which was originally a child in conflict with the law, to a child in conflict with the law,” said Hengki.
Hengki added, the change in AG’s status was due to giving dishonest information when testifying in the D persecution case.
AG was charged with Article 76c in conjunction with Article 80 of the Child Protection Act or 355 paragraph 1 in conjunction with 56 subsidiary Article 354 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 56 in conjunction with Article 353 paragraph 2 in conjunction with 56 in addition to Article 351 paragraph 2 in conjunction with 56 of the Criminal Code.
