PNP receives batch of 400 motorcycles that will reinforce citizen security in Lima

The General Commander of the PNP, Víctor Zanabria, highlights that this high-end fleet, delivered by Mayor Rafael López Aliaga, will enhance the work of the Emergency Division.

The Ministry of the Interior, through the National Police of Peru, received a first batch of 400 linear motorcycles that will serve to reinforce integrated patrolling and the fight against crime in the capital, thanks to an agreement signed between the Interior sector, the PNP (PNP) and the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima.

The head of the PNP, Víctor Zanabria, thanked this important provision of motorcycles that will serve to strengthen the “Halcones” Motorized Emergency Squadron of the PNP. He highlighted that this delivery is a fulfilled promise of the Municipality of Lima that will strengthen preventive work and the fight against crime in the city.

“As long as the Police are efficiently equipped, they will improve the services we provide to the community. Many thanks to the mayors for their trust in us to improve the institution’s response capacity in the face of the security challenges that we are experiencing today,” he stated.

For his part, the mayor of Lima, Rafael López Aliaga, pointed out that this is the first batch of a total of 4,000 linear motorcycles, duly equipped to combat citizen insecurity in Metropolitan Lima.

High-end motorcycles have additional technology that will allow for a report of geolocated incidents, alerts to the closest motorists and visualization of the route closest to the incident.

In addition, its high displacement ensures up to 139km/h with six speeds, providing great ease in climbing steep areas, among other characteristics defined in the specifications provided by the Ministry of the Interior.
