Ha Nam (VNA) – On September 18, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh went to review plans to build second branches of several central-level hospitals in Ha Nam province (North).

It has also collaborated with the competent bodies on these projects concerning the second sites of the Vietnam-Germany Hospital, the Bach Mai Hospital and the Geriatric Hospital, to solve the difficulties encountered and relaunch these projects after years of suspension of the works.

Regarding the construction of the second branches of the Vietnam-Germany and Bach Mai hospitals, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh pointed to the multi-stage weaknesses that had caused these projects to slow down.

Pham Minh Chinh then asked to create a working group whose head will be the Minister of Health and the members will be the leaders of the ministries of Planning and Investment, Construction, Finance, Justice and the People’s Committee in Ha Nam province. This group will have to reassess the entire project implementation process, reviewing legal procedures, total investment, implementation timelines and other difficulties, in order to advance concrete measures, he said.

As for the 2nd branch of the Geriatric Hospital, the project has not yet started because the location of the hospital construction coincides with the planning of the Tam Chuc tourist area.

The prime minister has ordered the relevant bodies to work together to carry out a resolution plan within two months at the latest. -VNA
