Breast cancer remains the most diagnosed female cancer in the world.
A nationally developed targeted follow-up program – such as organized mammography screening every 2 years from age 50 – allows for early screening and diagnosis. Every year Pink October is a national mobilization meeting with actors involved in the fight against breast cancer. The inter-municipal hospital of Toulon / La Seyne sur Mer and the Rugby Club Toulonnais are part of this approach. Day of screening and prevention with the radiologists and gynecologists of the hospital
Professionals (women aged 50 to 74 at medium risk, with no apparent symptoms or particular risk factors) who have received an invitation letter from the CRCDC will be able to make an appointment for a mammogram and a breast clinic visit with a CHITS certified radiologist
Creation of self-examination laboratories by gynecologists and obstetricians for all professionals.

Breast cancer still affects 1 in 8 women. To fight the disease, information and awareness campaigns such as Pink October are needed. The CHITS and the oncohematology department participate in raising public awareness by organizing actions around this event: sport, theater, wellness and screening workshops. Our professionals are dedicated to others and convey public health messages, but they often neglect themselves. After more than 2 years of the pandemic, it is time to “take care of our people”.
