Piazza Duomo Paris Saint Germain Fans Gathering: Champions League Match Day in Milan

Milan, 7 November 2023 – The red and blue banner with the writing “Paris” at the foot of the Cathedral. Ultra concentration of Paris Saint Germain in the heart of Milan this afternoon, before leaving for the stadium San Siro for the match Champions League Milan-PSG.

The procession passed through the streets around the stadium between chants (also against Milan), drums, smoke bombs, firecrackers and even fireworks. There was a huge deployment of law enforcement along the entire route and also in the area around San Siro, avoiding problems and accidents among the fans, except for a few tension among Parisians queuing to enter the stadium. Several Palestinian flags were also flying in the procession. Twelve buses instead arrived directly at the stadium.

Stadium controls: cutters and clubs

Police Commissioner Petronzi issued a two year old Daspo towards a 26 year old French fan who, during the access phases to the stadium, around 8.20 pm in the guest parking area, during the police checks, was found in possession of a cutter with sharp blade 22 cm long, hidden inside your backpack. Also during the access phases, in the passage reserved for visiting fans between the car park and the stadium, the French supporters, found themselves faced with the compact deployment of the police forces prepared for filtering, they have abandoned some clubs before being subjected to checks.

The match

The match, won 2-1 by Milan, it took place without disturbing public order near the sports facility and the police are now busy managing the outflow of fans. At the end of the service, mobile ready-to-use units remain in the city they will guard the city center during the night.

There were estimated to be over a hundred supporters in the city without ticket (of the 73 French people identified this night by the police, all were without tickets).
