Photos Show Possible Intel Arc Alchemist Desktop Graphics Card – Computer – News

Photos of a possible Intel Arc Alchemist desktop video card have surfaced. The images show the design of an Intel reference card with DG2-512EU GPU. The first Arc GPUs are on the roadmap for the first half of 2022.

Photos of the Arc Alchemist reference map have been shared by YouTube channel Moore’s Law is Dead. The photos show a video card with a silver cooler and two fans. It would be a video card with DG2-512EU GPU, which, as the name suggests, has 512 execution units. That would become the highest-ranking model in Intel’s Arc Alchemist lineup, according to Previous Leaked Information from the official Intel website.

The images show that the video card has an 8-pin and a 6-pin connector for power. According to previous leaks, the DG2-512EU models have 4096 shading units and up to 16GB GDDR6 with a 256bit memory bus. An leaked slide also stated that the video card should compete with AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3070. According to the same slide, the video card would have a TDP of 225W.

Moore’s Law is Dead shared photos of a earlier this year engineering sample of an Intel DG2-512EU GPU, writes VideoCardz. He also previously showed renders of a DG2-512EU reference card, which showed almost the exact same design as the Arc Alchemist graphics cards in the recently published photos.

The YouTuber also published renders of an Intel desktop video card with DG2-128EU GPU this week. That is expected to be the lowest-ranked model in Intel’s Arc Alchemist series. This model would be 1024 shading units with 4 or 8GB GDDR6 vram on a 64bit memory bus. According to Moore’s Law is Dead, the video card will not receive a 6-pin connection for power supply, which would mean that the video card consumes less than 75W.

Intel introduces its first Arc Alchemist graphics cards in the first quarter of 2022, but according to VideoCardz may only concern laptop variants. Desktop models are expected to follow a quarter later. Intel has previously confirmed these are Arc Alchemist GPUs at 6nm produced by TSMC.
