Sepang Racing Team released their new entity for MotoGP 2022. The Malaysian team changed from Petronas SRT Becomes RNF MotoGP Racing.
Petronas Yamaha ensured to dissolve after the title MotoGP 2021. This disbandment follows the departure of Petronas, the company that has become their main sponsor in the last few seasons.
A new team entity was announced on Friday (17/9/2021) night WIB, or before the event MotoGP San Marino 2021. Sepang Racing Team changed its name to RNF MotoGP Racing for the 2022 MotoGP competition.
CEO Sepang Racing Team, Razlan Razali, stay in the team and will be the boss RNF MotoGP Racing. This new team will compete in MotoGP at least until 2026.
A new era will begin for the Sepang Racing Team in 2022 when the team changes its name to RNF MotoGP Racing. The five-year contract signed between RNF Racing and IRTA sees the remodeled structure continue their participation as an Independent Team in the MotoGP class of the FIM World Championship. Razali spoke about the change in team entity Sepang Racing Team. He hopes to repeat the success that has been achieved before in MotoGP with RNF MotoGP Racing.
“This has been a whirlwind journey for us. In the last few months, we have put all our efforts to reorganize, rebrand and relaunch as a fresh and stronger MotoGP team,” said Razali.
