The 67-page report entitled “Joint Nuclear Operations” was completed in April 2020, but was only released last week in response to a request by the Federation of American Scientists [Federasi Ilmuwan Amerika] under the Freedom of Information Act [Undang-Undang Kebebasan Informasi].

The report said the likelihood of nuclear weapons being used in regional or global conflicts had increased over the past decade.
The document represents the Pentagon’s stance on fundamental principles and guidelines for planning, executing, and assessing nuclear operations.
In an interesting introduction to the first chapter, the report states that while the US has tried to reduce the number and salience of nuclear weapons, others, including Russia and China, have moved in the opposite direction.
