Paula Marckx passed away at the age of 94 (Antwerp)

Paula Marckx passed away last night at the age of 94. Her daughter Alexandra reports this on Monday. In 1979 Marckx won a lawsuit against the Belgian State that gave children of unmarried mothers the same rights as other children.

Paula Marckx’s daughter posted the obituary on Facebook on Monday:

Marckx was recently featured in the Canvas program ‘More woman on the street’. It advocated naming more street names after famous women. “I would be very happy to name a street after me. I think it will be. It would be nice if they remembered me once in a while after my death, ”she said recently.

“Paula Marckx passed away last night. The hereafter will never be what it was again. Beautiful woman. Wonderful girlfriend ”, said our Citta columnist Guillaume Van der Stighelen on Monday saying goodbye to his good friend via Twitter.
