Panasonic brings two new 2.1 sound bars for less than 500 euros: SC-HTB600 and SC-HTB400

Panasonic is launching two new 2.1 sound bars in Germany: the SC-HTB600 and SC-HTB400 at prices of 499 and 279 euros, respectively. From a technical point of view, the more interesting model is of course the SC-HTB600, which comes with 360 watts of power (RMS). 200 watts of this is for the separate subwoofer. This soundbar can also process both Dolby Atmos and DTS: X.

The Panasonic SC-HTB600 uses two broadband speakers (4.5 x 10 cm) with 80 watts (RMS) output power each and a wireless subwoofer (16 cm). There are also two ports for HDMI – one of them with Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). 4K content can also be passed through with HDR10 and Dolby Vision. If you leave the TV switched off, you can use Bluetooth to shoot music from your smartphone to the soundbar.

The Panasonic SC-HTB400 soundbar does not need an external subwoofer and offers 160 watts (RMS) of power. Bluetooth is also on board here. Two broadband speakers (4.5 x 10 cm) and two woofers (8 cm) plus a bass reflex system ensure the sound. Both new Panasonic sound bars support HDMI-CEC.

The Japanese want to provide flexibility when it comes to positioning: recesses on the underside of the soundbar and removable feet make the TV and soundbar move particularly close together, according to Panasonic. Alternatively, both sound bars can also be wall-mounted.

Well, when will the two sound bars be available in stores? You will get the Panasonic SC-HTB600 for 499 euros and the SC-HTB400 for 279 euros from summer 2020.
