The recently inaugurated National Commission against Corruption led by Santiago Palomo, informed the Guatemalan population about the zero tolerance that this agency will have towards the sale of places in the State.

“The Government of President Bernardo Arévalo informed the population that the sale of job positions in the different State institutions will not be tolerated in any way. This practice is a serious crime that violates the principles of transparency and equity,” the statement describes.

To this extent, the authorities warn that any person who, in exchange for money or favors, promotes, participates in or benefits from the delivery of public positions, is committing an illegal act and will be reported to the corresponding authorities to be subject to sanctions. imposed by law.
