Military Pakistan claimed to have shot down a plane or a plane drone spy quadcopter belongs to India in the Kashmir border region which is contested by the two countries.
“Pakistani Army troops shot down Indian spy quadcopter in the Hot Spring sector along the Line of Control (LoC) [garis pembagi perbatasan India-Pakistan di Kashmir], “the Pakistani military said in a statement on Sunday (6/28).
Islamabad said the rival Quadcopter had broken into Pakistan’s Kashmir region 850 meters deep.
The news agency quoted Anatolia, The Indian quadcopter was the ninth shot down by Pakistan this year.
Relations between Pakistan and India were tense again in the latter half of 2020 after New Delhi decided to cancel the special status of the disputed Kashmir state.
Not only that, India also had to cut off communication services that have now only recovered by half.
Kashmir has been divided between India and Pakistan since the two countries became independent and split in 1947. Both India and Pakistan claim to rule over the region.
The two countries had fought three wars, namely in 1948, 1965 and 1971 due to fighting over Kashmir.
Indian troops are trying to stem the decades-old insurgency in Kashmir.
The rebel groups were trying to free the Kashmir region of India or unite with Pakistan.
The uprising is said to have killed tens of thousands of civilians.
