Forever, The Best Show about The King of Pop, show tribute to Michael Jackson, will be this Thursday February 6 at the Dôme, for one of his last dates in France. The show, which has already gathered 500,000 spectators around the world since its debut in Madrid in 2010, will resume the greatest successes of the star, who died 10 years ago.
Twenty-six artists, including a live orchestra, eight singers and dancers as well as a double of the king of pop, will take over the Saint-Just stage for a show lasting more than two hours that will bring the greatest hits to life. , taken up like the originals or reinvented in gospel or a capella. These hits, like Thriller or Billie Jean will thus be alongside a resumption of the title I’ll Be There of the Jackson Five, interpreted by one of the singers against the background of a recording of the voice of young Michael Jackson at the time.
The producer, Carlos Javier Lopez, wished, with Forever, “recreate the artistic work, the songs, the dances, the vie“by the artist. He worked with choreographer Carmelo Segura to create new dances, or to resume them”without denaturing them“.
For the artistic director, Jesus Sanz-Sebastian, “the objective of the show is to make the public rediscover the icon Michael Jackson through his music“.
This tribute, designed to be a cocktail of energy and emotions, has received the approval and backing of the Jackson Family Foundation, created by the artist’s parents.
Proof that ten years after his death, Michael Jackson continues to inspire many artists, despite the various controversies triggered, in particular, by the documentary Leaving Neverland by Briton Dan Reed.
