OUR event was disbanded, Din Syamsuddin compared the attitude of the police with the dangdut concert in Tegal

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia ( WEDin Syamsuddin regretted the attitude of the police officers who dismissed the US event in Surabaya, East Java, Monday (28/9/2020).

Din compared the police’s attitude to the kami program which was inversely proportional to the flexible attitude in the dangdut show held by the Deputy Chairman of the DPRD Tegal Wasmad Edi Susilo on Wednesday (23/09/2020)

“The attitude of the National Police did not appear (as reported by the mass media) towards the crowd, including the dangdut show in Tegal, Pilkada activities in several places, and the crowd of actions that rejected US itself,” Din said in his statement to Kompas.com, Wednesday ( 30/9/2020).

Din said that during the incident in Surabaya, police officers burst into the room and dismissed the kami event.

In fact, in this activity, WE have implemented health protocols.

On the other hand, police personnel have allowed the mass groups to reject the WE program and have violated health protocols.

From the series of incidents, Din said that the Police did not seem to have made any efforts to protect our program against interference by the opposing masses.

“The law enforcement apparatus / Police have not acted professionally and fairly. Of course we all support the reasons for enforcing the health protocol, but it must be enforced fairly and thoroughly,” he said.

He hopes that the Police can resume its function as protector of the community.

“WE hope the Police can function as a protector and protector of the community,” explained Din.

Previously it was reported that the police dismissed the KAMI Surabaya event, East Java, Monday (28/9/2020).

The dispersal took place at Jabal Nur’s house, on Jalan Jambangan, Surabaya, after the location of the first event which was located at Gedung Juang 45 was blocked by the masses.

The disbandment took place when the US Presidium who was also former TNI Commander Gatot Nurmantyo was making a speech on the podium.

At the second location, the crowd also surrounded the house which was the location for the US East Java gathering.

Kapolsek Sawahan AKP Wisnu Setyawan Kuncoro said the OUR gathering that Gatot attended did not have permission.

“OUR event at Gedung Juang 45 does not have a permit. The organizers should also consider the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Wisnu at the location, Monday.
