Ordered multiple information on Tesla Model Y disassembly> teslamag.de

At least since he dismantled a Model 3 in 2018 (and partly criticized its construction massively), long-time auto industry consultant Sandy Munro has also been a well-known expert in Tesla circles – because even CEO Elon Musk took his criticism to heart, he is also high viewed. Occasionally Munro himself gives extensive interviews and has revealed in one of them that the order for the early Tesla dismantling originally came from Audi. And as he now reveals, several of his customers have already ordered results from the dismantling of the new Tesla Model Y.

Surprising news from Tesla

His consultancy Munro Associates is currently not doing very well, Munro initially reports in a recent YouTube interview. Because of the corona virus pandemic, many orders have been put on hold. But he also had good news: First of all, because of the Corona crisis and production interruption at Tesla, it looked as if the Model Y ordered would not arrive soon. At 6 a.m. he recently got a call over the phone, but then at 10 a.m. another call asking if the electric car should be brought with a closed or an open truck. So it will be there soon.

The interviewer beamed – “You get a Model Y”, he notes, which Munro confirms with no less delight. But as he then explains, he did not order the Tesla, or not just as a normal customer, but in order to be able to do some of the jobs that remained despite the corona virus: “I didn’t think at first that we would get a Tesla Y, and that would have us thrown back at many of our customers, ”says Munro; that’s why he’s pretty happy now. He does not give specific names, but confirms on request that he bought the Model Y for disassembly, not for driving around.

And he had another piece of news to announce: on the advice of his partners, Munro Associates launched the new website munrolive.com – and there, among other things, the decomposition of Model Y should be shown in a live stream. The interviewer did not ask whether this would be possible for everyone free of charge or only against payment. The website itself says that anyone interested should register for the live stream. The only menu item for this is the option to enter an e-mail address, but to which no feedback has been given for the time being.

Model Y is scheduled to arrive on April 1st

It was also not clear to what extent the new web offer and the orders of Munro mentioned by customers about information about the Tesla Model Y are related. Actually, it would be assumed that exclusivity or a silence period would be agreed at least for larger orders. According to the website, the arrival of the car will be shown live at 1 p.m. on April 1 and disassembly from April 14.

Given the delivery date mentioned, is it possibly an early April joke? Then it would be very expensive together with the new website – even if it currently appears to be housed with a free hoster. Either way, Munro now seems to be increasingly involved in the media business. And his statement that several customers are waiting for his deep insights into the latest Tesla sounds plausible regardless of the other circumstances.
