Apple Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X now free for 90 days

Now Apple has also taken the coroa crisis as an opportunity to put together a special offer: the free demo version of the video editing program Final Cut Pro X (Version 10.4.8) for Mac can now be used for 90 days – previously the demo was limited to 30 days. The standard version of Final Cut Pro X costs around 330 euros.

If you already have and use a previous 30-day demo version of Final Cut Pro X (FCPX), you can now use it for an additional 90 days. Some functions of the trial version of Final Cut Pro are not available on Mac computers with the previous macOS version Mojave (10.14), but only with the current Catalina (10.15). However, the extension of the test period to 90 days is only temporary – it will be withdrawn in the future and the demo length will be reduced to 30 days.

So now is an ideal time (at least for Mac owners) to take a long look at Final Cut Pro X and try out the very special editing concept yourself using the “magnetic timeline”. And a good opportunity on older Macs to see how smoothly editing with modern high-resolution video formats using FCPX works on older hardware.

Final Cut Pro X requires a Mac with macOS 10.14.6 or newer, 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for 4K editing, 3D titles and 360 ° video editing), an OpenCL-compatible GPU graphics card or Intel HD Graphics 3000 or newer, 256 MB VRAM (1 GB recommended for 4K editing, 3D titles and 360 ° video editing) and 3.8 GB free storage space.

For the first time, Apple will also be offering a free 90-day trial of the audio program Logic Pro X offer – it will be put online soon.
