In this comparison, we put the OnePlus Nord next to the iPhone SE (2020). It may be clear, it is not even exciting who wins.
In previous comparisons it soon became clear that the OnePlus Nord is a sturdy device for a low price. It has almost completely same pluses like the OnePlus 8 and uses a better price-specs ratio than the Samsung Galaxy A51. But how does the latest device from the Chinese manufacturer compare to this year’s iPhone SE?
OnePlus Nord vs iPhone SE (2020)
The OnePlus Nord and iPhone SE (2020) are not a fair match-up in almost every way. It is very simple, for about € 499 you can do two things. Or you buy the cheapest, very bare, compact iPhone SE. Or you can buy the fully dressed beast called OnePlus Nord.
Simply put, the OnePlus Nord has a much larger screen, AMOLED, no LCD, a higher refresh rate, a higher resolution and many more pixels per inch. The most expensive variant of the device has more than twice as much battery, literally four times as much RAM, four times as much storage space and four times as many front cameras with (you guessed it) four times as high resolution.
But the iPhone SE has one huge advantage. The Apple Bionic A13 processor. Despite all the substandard specs, Apple has made a smart choice by incorporating their most recent processor into the device. This makes the backbone of the iPhone SE undeniably strong. The Snapdragon 765 cannot compete with that.
Conclusion
It is obvious that OnePlus with the Nord has wanted to deliver a lot of sturdy specs for little. That cannot be said of the iPhone SE. The latter’s compact design is a plus, as is wireless charging and (if you prefer) iOS as the operating system. But come on, if you want the maximum smartphone for your money, then you can hardly choose anything other than the OnePlus Nord.
