Cameroonian rapper Tenor drops off his suitcases at Def Jam Africa »100% Culture Magazine

Already present in 03 countries, the Def Jam Africa label has entered French-speaking Africa and rapper Tenor is the torchbearer in Cameroon. Def Jam Africa is a component of Universal Music Africa.

It is therefore a migration that the Cameroonian rapper is making by signing to Def Jam Africa which is a pole specializing in hip-hop, afrotrap and afrobeat. The original version of this label was born in 1984 in the United States and has recently been remastered to settle in French-speaking Africa.

“We are happy and proud to launch Def Jam Africa in Ivory Coast, Senegal and Cameroon. With three incredible torchbearer talents of the movement in the sub-region: Tenor, Suspect 95 and Omzo dollar, ”reads the official statement from Universal Music Africa.

This new label will compete with 237 producers, mainly in the hip-hop universe.
