On a beach in Odessa, a man’s skull was broken because of a deck chair

Attacker refused to pay rent for a sun lounger

The drunk vacationer refused to pay for the sun lounger rental. He started a quarrel with a man who demanded payment, and then beat him.

Odessa police officers detained a vacationer from the Cherkasy region, who beat an employee of an entertainment establishment on one of the city’s beaches. About this on Wednesday, August 11, reported press service of the regional police.

“Not wanting to pay for the rent of a sun lounger, a drunk vacationer started a quarrel with a man, and when words were not enough, he put his fists into action. During the collision, the attacker hit the victim on the head with a wooden stick, breaking his skull,” the message says.

After the attack, the 37-year-old instigator of the quarrel fled the scene. However, law enforcement officers soon tracked him down in the city center and placed him in a temporary detention center.

The man was declared suspicious under the article on deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm (part 1 of article 121 of the Criminal Code). He faces five to eight years in prison.
