The country’s first Northwest (nor’easter) storm this season has already dropped more than four inches of rain in some parts of our city.
Winds of up to 50 miles per hour are also forecast.
The city is under flash flood warning until 5 p.m.
So far, the highest rainfall totals are in the Howard Beach and Corona sectors of Queens.
The storm, which occurs within days of the anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, is expected to cause heavier rainfall around noon.
