The rise is also at a record high in some countries. Brazil and the USA once again stand out among the countries with a particularly high number of new infections. According to the WHO, 46,860 new cases were recorded in Brazil. In the United States, there were 44,458. India had the third highest increase in the most recent table worldwide with 19,906 cases.

According to the WHO table, Germany is significantly more positive with 256 registered new infections within one day. The figure for Italy is 175, for Spain it is 569. In Great Britain, at least 890 people contracted the corona virus within 24 hours.
