The Serb is enthusiastically celebrated by the fans on his comeback on the tennis court in Dubai. As soon as they walked onto the court, the spectators held Serbian flags in the air, shouted and applauded.
After his easy two-set victory in the first lap against the young Italian Lorenzo Musetti (19), Nole even received a standing ovation.
He really enjoyed it, says the winner in an interview on the pitch: “I couldn’t have asked for better reception.”
The tennis world is happy that the world number 1 is finally making headlines again with racket and felt ball. And the 20-time Grand Slam winner is known to be able to do that a lot better than collecting plus points in public.
