A murder took place in Sofia this evening. According to unofficial information on bTV, this is Martin Bojanov – the Notary.
He was shot in the head with a firearm in the area of the “Gorna Banya” district.
The shooting happened around 19:40. A 68-year-old woman was on the scene, as well as a 4-year-old child and a baby. They were given medical assistance by Emergency Services.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the shooting.
“It was the mother with the two children. There were no other people. The woman was scared and crying,” said one of the security guards at the complex where the murder took place.
Police officers have started mass checks of every car in Sofia. Drivers and passengers are checked. The Ministry of Internal Affairs also used dogs for the search, bTV learned.
Martin Bojanov is involved in consulting activities. He introduces himself as “The Notary”. An interview with him was conducted in an investigation by the “Anti-Corruption Fund”related to the detention of Veselin Denkov on charges of participation in an organized criminal group for usury.
The recordings of a series of conversations between Ivayla Bakalova, who lives in cohabitation with Veselin Denkov, and persons not particularly known up to that point, reveal who are the “helpers” with influence in the judicial system. One of them is Bojanov.
“Due to my extensive life experience, the fact that I know many lawyers, it is normal that if someone tells me that they have a problem, in a civil, commercial or criminal case, that I refer them to someone, you will probably ask what interest I have ? My interest is the following. If this person agrees, I will conclude a contract as a consultant with him, and the lawyer I will recommend will work with him entirely on the case,” he explains in an interview with ACF.
