Books – Ahmed Jumaa:

The Ministry of Health and Population provided a number of advice to citizens, especially patients with chronic diseases, pregnant women, those with allergies and chest diseases to avoid complications coinciding with instability of weather conditions, and a decrease in temperature.

Dr. Hala Zayed, the Minister of Health and Population, directed to raise the level of readiness to the highest level in all hospitals at the Republic level, the intensification of ambulances on the roads and main axes, and the holding of a crisis and emergency room around the clock.

This comes in conjunction with the meteorological agency’s warnings that the country is exposed to a state of instability in weather conditions from Thursday, March 12, until Saturday, March 14th.

These tips included:

– Dealing with immunizations and medicines that strengthen the body’s immunity, for the groups most vulnerable to disease, who are children under 5 years old, and those older than 65 years, pregnant women, and those with chronic diseases.

– Stay away from strong scents such as perfumes, air fresheners, dust and car exhaust

Paying attention to drinking warm drinks and drinking more water.

– It is preferable not to leave the house during the days of storms and dust except for emergency conditions, provided that the nose is covered and heavy clothing is worn.

– It is preferable to stay away from pets, especially those that have thick hair as they lead to irritation in the airways.

– The importance of quitting a chest patient from smoking of all kinds if the patient smokes, or staying away from places where cigarette fumes abound, to avoid having asthma attacks.

– Patients with allergies and chest diseases should not be exposed to cold air currents directly, and avoid the sudden transition from warm to cold air and vice versa.

Maintain breathing through the nose, because it is considered a filter of natural air, and it also enters the chest air at body temperature.

When you suffer from shortness of breath frequently, it is preferable to see a doctor to undergo appropriate treatment

Avoid medications that irritate the airways.
