PEKANBARU, KOMPAS.TV – A woman with the initials ZU (19) who had made a police report and claimed to be a victim of rape by four men, stated that her statement was not true.
“I stated today that what I reported was not true. None of the four people had sexual intercourse with me,” said ZU at a press conference in Pekanbaru, Riau, Tuesday (21/12/2021).
ZU added that the reason for making the lie was because she was being coerced and threatened by her husband, S (28).
“I apologize to the North Tambusai Police, the Rokan Hulu Police, and the Riau Police. Because I made the initial statement, the four men raped, which is not true,” said ZU.

“I was forced by my husband to admit that I was raped by four men. But in fact that didn’t happen. My husband was threatened by me to admit that I was raped and report it to the police,” she continued.
In fact, ZU was threatened with death by her husband if she refused to make a police report that she had been raped.
“I lied because I was threatened by my husband. I was beaten to confess. Even though I wasn’t raped. He (S) accused me of cheating,” explained ZU, who was accompanied by his lawyer, Andri Hasibuan.
Furthermore, ZU emphasized that there was no intervention from any party in his confession and he was ready to take responsibility for his lies.
