Mcchip-DKR pushes the Cupra Ateca (2018) to 475 horsepower

The Cupra Ateca (don’t call it Seat, above all) takes over the powertrain inaugurated by theAudi S3 current, then taken over by all compact sports cars of the Volkswagen group. Namely, a small 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo coupled to a Haldex type all-wheel drive, developing 300 horsepower (or 310 depending on the version).

This Cupra Ateca is currently isolated in its segment. The only other sporty compact crossover, the Audi RS Q3, plays on another level with its fabulous sounding 400-horsepower turbocharged five-cylinder engine. Certainly, the Cupra benefits from a lighter powertrain and excellent tuning.

475 horsepower!

But with this preparation signed Mcchip-DKR, it no longer fears at all the Audi RS Q3 (nor the future Mercedes-AMG GLA45 S of 421 horsepower). It is indeed strong with 475 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque, thanks to a lot of work on the mapping, the turbo and the exhaust. The preparer does not announce any performance figures for the moment, but we can bet on a 0 to 100 km / h in just over 4 seconds and a top speed unbridled far beyond 250 km / h. It also does not specify the price of these modifications, but we should remain well below the price of an RS Q3 …
