In autumn 2018, Julia Roberts took on the role in a series for the first time. The result was ten great episodes celebrated by the critics – but ignored by the general public. In the series, Julia Roberts plays a therapy companion who is supposed to make it easier for returnees to enter civil society. But something seems to be wrong with the homecoming project …

In the second season, Amazon Prime Video relies on a new main actress – Janelle Monáe. However, the trailer does not reveal much more. We are very curious

Netflix: new series in May 2020

And even Netflix did not save on the series offer in May. Here are our favorites in May 2020.

From May 1st: ‘Hollywood’

The Netflix series “Hollywood” is about a group of men who wants to become famous in Hollywood. However, they are faced with a lot of problems. Racism, homophobia and sexism are omnipresent. It’s about the distribution of power and also about the question of what would have happened if these dynamics had been broken up one day.

Here you can watch the trailer of ‘Hollywood’:

From May 6th: ‘Working Moms’, Season 4

The title of the series already suggests: It is about working mothers. More specifically, from four mums who met in a baby group. All four have problems. One of them even goes so far that she longs for fatal accidents which “they could get out of all this”. However, since nothing happens to her, she tries, among other things, to drown herself in the pool during a house inspection. Sounds pretty crazy, but is also extremely funny in the end. Season 4 finally appears in May. It’s worth turning on!

From May 23: ‘Denver Clan’, season 3

Season 3 of the Denver clan will be released on May 23 on Netflix. It promises again a lot of dramatic conflicts between two of the country’s wealthiest families. In the struggle for power, influence and wealth, it is not only between the families that clinch. The daughter of Blake Carrington, of all things, causes a lot of trouble because of her dislike for her stepmother.

Because of the current Corona situation, fans of the series still have to be patient: So far, only 20 of the 22 episodes have been completed. It is not yet known when the season can continue. We’re still looking forward to 20 new episodes!

From May 29: ‘Queen of the South’, season 4

After her drug-dealing boyfriend is murdered, Teresa Mendoza has to flee her native Mexico and seek shelter in the United States. She struggles through her new life – in the unscrupulous drug business. On the way to the top of the drug empire, she finds old friends who help her. How far Mendoza gets, you will learn from May 29 in the fourth season of Queen of South.

This is still running on Netflix:

  • From May 1st: ‘Into the Night’, season 1
  • From May 7th: ‘Scissor Seven’, season 2
  • From May 11: ‘Bordertown’, season 3
  • From May 29: ‘Space Force’, season 1
  • and many more.
