Due to the high number of newly infected, the government on Monday introduced additional measures to prevent the spread of the disease. From Tuesday, people must also wear veils at public transport stops, ie on their platforms, in shelters and waiting rooms. Mandatory covering of the nose and mouth began to return from the beginning of September.

From Wednesday even more schools (with the exception of kindergartens) will switch to distance learning. The measure has been extended to include both primary school levels and a lower level of multi-year grammar schools. Elementary art and language schools will also be closed from Wednesday, and outdoor schools must also be completed. The Regulation does not apply to schools and classes pursuant to Section 16, Paragraph 9 of the Education Act (ie for children with special educational needs) and to schools at a medical facility. Schools with facilities for institutional or protective education or schools of the Ministry of Justice also have an exception.
Universities will also remain closed. The exception applies to medics and medical students. According to the Minister of Health Roman Prymula (for YES), up to 2,400 of them can help in the fight against coronavirus in hospitals.
Universities and higher vocational schools are also prohibited from providing accommodation to students who have a different residence in the Czech Republic from midnight on Wednesday. Students will have to clear the dormitories and dormitories. Even in this case, an exception applies to medical students. According to the Minister of Education Robert Plaga (YES), quarantined students and those who cannot return home may also remain at the place of accommodation.
We managed to agree with the Ministry of Health that students who cannot return home can stay on campus. In the same way, students remain in quarantine. We are in touch with the rectors. Nevertheless, if possible, I ask everyone to return home and limit social contacts.

In the group at most in six
From Wednesday, gathering will be limited to a maximum of six people, excluding jobs or families. The ban thus also applies to worship services and other religious ceremonies, festivities, dance events, association events, sports events, parades and tastings.
However, the ban does not include meetings and sessions of constitutional bodies, courts or political parties. In such cases, however, no more than one hundred people may meet, individuals must be given a seat and at least two meters between them.

Exceptions are also weddings and funerals and the subsequent celebration or funeral feast, if it takes place no later than the following day. The government has limited the maximum number of participants to 30. A special restaurant regime is set aside for such celebrations; the presence of guests in the establishments is prohibited only from midnight to 6 am.
The special regime will also apply in shopping malls over 5,000 square meters, where operators are to prevent crowding. There must be no wireless connection to the public in the premises.
Shopping centers as well as shops and service establishments, with the exception of catering services, can be entered and stayed in at most in groups of two. This restriction does not apply to children accompanying an adult from the same household.

The government has also announced the cancellation of a wide range of events from concerts and theater performances to pilgrimages to congresses and trade fairs. The regulation will also stop the operation of games and casinos, zoos, museums, galleries, castles, chateaux, planetariums and observatories, swimming pools and wellness facilities, unless it is the provision of health services.
It will not be possible to use the indoor spaces of sports grounds. Hobby, educational, recreational or educational facilities that provide services for children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 will also remain closed.
The government has limited the right to peaceful assembly to a maximum of 500 participants. These must be divided into groups of no more than twenty, and there must be a distance of two meters between the groups. Assembly participants will need to wear veils.

To the restaurant just through the window
The public will be expelled from the restaurants from Wednesday. Selling through the window is allowed, but only between 6 and 20 o’clock.
Catering facilities may also operate where the public does not have access, such as employment, social services or accommodation. Even in such cases, however, it must be closed between 8 pm and 6 am. Customers must be at least one and a half meters apart if they do not share a table. A maximum of four people can sit at one table, and the operator cannot provide wireless internet connection on site.
The government has also banned alcohol consumption in public places.
The end of nightlife
The government also banned the presence of music, dance, games and similar clubs and discos. The president of the Czech Bartenders’ Association, Aleš Svojanovský, stated that with regard to the development of the situation in the Czech Republic, “it is no longer possible to wait for anything and it is necessary to pull the brakes”. At the same time, however, he pointed out that nightclubs in particular have practically closed the new restrictions. “Entrepreneurs would like to open, but it loses its meaning to call people to work to open the window, and no one will stand in front of it,” he said.
According to him, many of the operators have exhausted all the savings and the support from the state rather missed this field. “Unequivocal support would be wage rehabilitation,” he said. In his opinion, the Antivirus program, which pays part of the salary of employees, should continue.
Extension of the Antivirus A program for the entire duration of the measures against the spread of coronavirus and back to the date of the declaration of an emergency wants to propose to the government the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Jana Maláčová (ČSSD). The compensation should be 100% and the ceiling of the compensation paid should be increased to 50 thousand crowns.
