New mass grave found in liberated city in Ukraine
440 graves were found in the Ukrainian city of Izium in eastern Ukraine after it was liberated by Ukrainian forces.
This is what Pravda Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Minister, writes Telegram.
The chief investigator of the Kharkiv region, Serhii Bolvinov, tells the British News from heaven. all bodies must be examined by forensic technicians.
But for now Bolvinov can confirm that many of the dead were shot or wounded by artillery.
– This is one of the largest mass graves we have found in a liberated city, says Bolvinov.
Ukrainian journalist Kateryna Lykhohliad tells NRK that the markings on the graves indicate that both soldiers and civilians are buried at the site.
