On Saturday June 19, the members of the board of directors of the Union des DDEN de Haute-Loire welcomed 21 new delegates.
The Departmental Delegates of National Education (DDEN) are volunteer partners of the public school, officially appointed by the Academy Inspector and by the Prefect for a renewable term of 4 years.
Through this official function, the DDENs are ex officio members of the school council, they ensure the safety and good living conditions of the children, at school and around the school. At the hinge between teachers, elected officials and families, they are also advisers and mediators.
For this new mandate, which will run from September 2021 until June 2025, Haute-Loire has 67 DDENs spread over 114 schools out of the 180 in the department.
New members can therefore be welcomed, because any citizen interested in the life of public schools can become DDEN.
