Neuquén writer presents her book on self-improvement of breast cancer in Angostura and the importance of accompanying women

Carolina Magnalardo is a journalist, writer and president of the Women’s Soccer Association in Neuquén and Río Negro: these days, she is presenting her self-referential book on breast cancer “the tit that had something to say” in the town. In dialogue with Diario 7 Lagos, he highlighted the importance of awareness and support for women.

“My book is mainly about the treatment of Breast Cancer. It is my experience, from the time I was diagnosed to the treatment and how I have experienced such a difficult illness and situation, ”Carolina said.

The writer has presented her work in September 2019 at various book fairs in Neuquén, Río Negro and Buenos Aires. Now, in Villa La Angostura, the writer is in talks with the Municipality as they will organize a talk focusing on women and the importance of getting medical check-ups on time.

“I try to make an awareness tool so that women understand the importance of getting the controls on time and, on the other hand, the accompaniment for women who have to go through this situation,” Magnalardo highlights.

And he adds: “When they give you the diagnosis, the first thing you think of is” death. ” It’s really very ugly. It is about accompanying the patients, as they accompanied me. That’s when I realized how fundamental it is that the patient does not feel alone ”.

Magnalardo also combines his work in the association with his book: in dialogue with various soccer players in the province, he has formed a network of athletes who came together to fight and claim their rights in an area where men are still the majority . During her stay in the city, she has visited the Angosturense soccer referents and the authorities of the local women’s league.

In reference to the book, which has been presented to the community, Carolina points out: “It’s a bit like how I took life before and how I take it now after cancer. I hope it helps those who go through this and also those who don’t. ” Among her wishes is to be able to reach all the women of the country with this book.

With two objectives set, her self-referential writing aims to help and promote awareness about breast cancer disease to think early detection as a key factor, but it also carries the goal of being able to transmit to women who are going through such a time complicated with faith and energy.
