NASA and SpaceX’s Crew-7 Mission Successfully Takes Off to International Space Station (ISS)

NASA and SpaceX’s Crew-7 mission successfully took off this morning from Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA, towards the International Space Station (ISS), where the crew will perform various experiments and replace Crew-6.

The take-off of the Endurance spacecraft from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center took place, as scheduled, at 3:27 am today (8:27 am in Lisbon), and according to NASA specialists, docking to the ISS and the departure of the astronauts will only take place on Sunday .

The launch of the Crew-7 mission — the seventh manned mission of the US space administration to the ISS — was initially scheduled for 3:50 am (8:50 am in Lisbon) on Friday, but was postponed until dawn today, with NASA not advance the reasons for the postponement.

The Crew-7 mission is commanded by astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, selected by NASA in 2017, and Andreas Mogensen, from the European Space Agency (ESA), while astronauts Satoshi Furukawa, from the Japanese agency JAXA, and Konstantin Borisov, from the Russian Roscosmos.
