Mother of Knife Attack Terror in France Cries and is Shocked at Her Child’s Action

NICE, KOMPAS.com – Doer attack with a knife that killed three people at the Church of Notre-Dame in the city of Nice, France reportedly seriously injured.

The brother of the terrorists told Al Arabiya that Issaoui informed his family that he would sleep in front of the church and sent them a photo showing him in the cathedral, where he launched his attack.

“He didn’t say anything to me,” said Issaoui’s brother. Meanwhile, according to the perpetrator’s family neighbors, Ibrahim Issaoui is a mechanic who works odd jobs and there is no sign of him being radicalized.

French counter-terrorism prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard said the perpetrator was a Tunisian who was born in 1999 and reached the Italian island of Lampedusa, the main landing point for migrants crossing by boat from North Africa on 20 September 2020.

From there, Issaoui traveled to Bari, a port city in Southern Italy on October 9. It is unclear when he arrived in the city of Nice.

Tunisians fleeing economic stress during the coronavirus outbreak are the largest contingent of migrants to land in Italy this year.

Italian media reported that from Lampedusa, where Issaoui was one of the 1,300 migrants who arrived on September 20, he was stationed with 800 others on a virus quarantine ship in Puglia.

The Italian interior minister confirmed on Friday that Issaoui was ordered to leave Italy on October 9.
