Morena asks the National Guard to investigate theft of WhatsApp numbers

Gómez was a victim of that crime last week and, he reported, until last night he received a code from the company to recover his account.

But he said that he presented his complaint to the authorities accompanied by the Legal Affairs unit of the Chamber of Deputies “so that there is no pretext that there was no complaint” because before he did so by telephone but he was not given any guidance.

The morenista today presented a point of agreement in which he recognized that his telephone complaint – like that of any citizen – had no effect whatsoever, since he was not even given a page to follow up.

“Unfortunately, in my experience, the complaint filed with the cyber police, belonging to the National Guard through number 088, was limited to receiving my complaint and I could not know the steps to follow or any follow-up folio,” he said.

“It is also unknown – he argued – if there is a link that allows the Cyber Police to request the banks to register the accounts to which the resources are requested to be deposited; to the telephone companies that own the numbers to investigate the ease with the that are duplicated and with the company that owns WhatsApp to recover the accounts that have been hacked. “

At his point of agreement, the legislator requested that investigation protocols be established, that the bank accounts in which deposits are requested be investigated and that intelligence work be carried out so that they investigate how it is possible that there is a duplicate SIM card .

“That the National Guard, through the cyber police, undertake actions to attack the problem that has had senators, deputies and top-level officials of the Executive branch as its main targets,” he declared.

And he affirmed that there is an unusual behavior and “we can all be victims of them using contacts to ask for money.”

Along with Gómez Ventura, Deputy Anita Sánchez Castro (Morena) and Senator Kenia López, from Acción Nacional (PAN), were victims of this crime last week. Last Monday it was the national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado, who also warned that someone stole his WhatsApp number to ask for money on his behalf.
