Agent recognizes suspect on holiday in Spain: 24-year-old Haarlemmer arrested Inland

The 24-year-old man from Haarlem was wanted for a stabbing in that city in June. The officer recognized him in a cafe and signaled her Spanish colleagues, a spokesperson for the Dutch police confirms reports in the Spanish media.

A 28-year-old man was seriously injured in the stabbing in the Klarenbeekstraat in Haarlem. The suspect was quickly arrested, but the judge suspended his pre-trial detention. That was later reversed, but by then the suspect had already fled.
