More than 1,050 people were arrested on Tuesday in the demonstrations in Russia in favor of the opposition Alexei Navalni, sentenced to almost three years in prison, said the NGO OVD-Info.
According to this organization specialized in monitoring demonstrations, most of the arrests (865) took place in Moscow, where the police repressed the protests that emerged after the announcement of the opposition leader’s conviction.
