Morawiecki called the condition under which the Russian Federation will be able to return to the circle of civilized states

Russia will be able to return to the group of civilized states only if it stops its aggressive war and de-Putinization.

This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with Corriere della Sera.European truth“.

According to him, negotiations with terrorists are impossible.

“And Russia has now become a terrorist state. Daily bombardments of cities, attacks on civilian objects, killings of women and children – the scale of Russia’s war crimes is simply terrible, and until this stops, there is nothing to talk about,” he said.

“And one more condition for Russia’s return to the group of civilized states is de-Putinization. But it is the Russians themselves who must dismantle this quasi-totalitarian system created by President Putin. Then there will be hope for a different future of relations between Russia and the EU,” Morawiecki believes.

According to him, almost a year after the aggression against Ukraine, it should be clear to everyone that a return to the pre-war state is impossible.

“In Germany, they were convinced that it was possible to distract Moscow from imperial aspirations through commercial exchange and at the same time that it was not worth “annoying the bear.” Both assumptions turned out to be wrong. For Russia, energy resources perform the same function as tanks: they are tools of conquest and dependence,” the Polish prime minister noted.

“I would like to believe that the German government’s sending tanks to Ukraine is evidence of a change in the perception of Russia, and that Germany will continue to cooperate with Poland to ensure the security and stability of Europe. If we want peace to win, we must not succumb to Russian propaganda of fear,” Morawiecki said. .
