DKI Jakarta Health Office continues to track patients

Mpox cases recover relatively quickly and the death rate is low

Ngabila explained that overall healing in cases of monkey pox or Mpox is relatively fast, namely two to four weeks.

“On average 3 weeks to recover. “The definition of healing is if all wounds are completely dry and new skin appears,” said Ngabila.

Death rate or case fatality rate (CFR) of monkey pox is only about one percent. The majority of deaths occur due to secondary infections and low immunity conditions in risk groups, such as MSM (Men Like Men) or Gaypregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children, elderly.
