Erick Torres return to MLS by the hand of Atlanta United, team that signed him to replace the loss of Josef Martínez, who was put on the disabled list. The Mexican striker arrives as a free player after passing through Tijuana.
The Cube already has the residence of the United States so it will be registered as a domestic player and only the international transfer certificate is missing so that it can be enabled to play. For now, he will be a new partner for Jürgen Damm.
Josef was injured in March of the right cruciate ligament in his right knee in Atlanta’s inaugural duel against Nashville on March 18 and they hope he is ready for the start of preseason next year.
Cubo was last in the MLS with the Houston Dynamo, where he played two stages, the last one was from 2016 to 2017 before going through Pumas and Xolos, where it was difficult for him to return to his level.
