Two men charged with violence against a 15-year-old in Stjørdal – NRK Trøndelag

The two men in their 50s are accused of having used violence, or participated in violence, against a 15-year-old boy in the center of Stjørdal.

The incident is said to have happened on the evening of October 28 last year.

– The police are watching very serious that well-adults commit violence against children. Only the police have access to use force to maintain peace and order in Norway, says prosecutor Ole Andreas Aftret in Trøndelag police district.

The police have conducted several interrogations and obtained surveillance footage. They believe they have a clear picture of what has happened.

The aggrieved party’s young age is an aggravating element. The police have zero tolerance for violence against children, says Aftret.

Troubled youth environment

He adds that he can understand the local community’s frustration over previous episodes of threats and violence associated with a youth environment.

Both the police, the municipality, the child welfare service and several others went together this summer to do something about a violent youth environment in the city.

It happened after several serious cases of violence among young people.

– I understand that people are worried. It is important that the police and other actors are on the field and do something about the feeling of security. We are well underway and will continue this work. No one should be afraid to stay in Stjørdal center, sheriff Kjetil Revlo said The magazine this summer.
