A dead person has been found in a forest in the municipality of Teton in the state of Wyoming, northwestern in the USA, reports CNN Sunday evening. Now the police in North Port in Florida confirm that there is talk of the missing Instagram adventurer.
– We are sad and heartbroken to hear that Gabby has been found dead. Our focus from the beginning has been to get her home, the police write on Twitter.
The message comes after the famous Instagram adventurer Gabby Petito (22) became reported missing in the same area 11. september.
Her father also shares a message on Twitter, where he writes that she “touched the world”.
According to the FBI, the finding agrees that it may be Petito, but they said at a press conference earlier Monday night that they have not fully identified the deceased.
– We do not have gender, and we do not have identification, said the doctor who investigates the cause of death, Dr. Brent Blue. The cause of death is also not clear.
Together with her boyfriend, she traveled across land and beach in the United States in what Petito himself describes as “a small van”.
The travel diary stopped abruptly – and has been replaced by a disappearance mystery. It has been quiet from Petito since August 26th.
The girlfriend reported missing
On September 1, boyfriend Brian Laundrie returned to their home in North Port, Florida – without Petito. Ten days later, she was reported missing.
In recent days, police in the town of North Port in Florida, where the couple lived with Laundire’s parents, have been searching for the missing man in a nature reserve.
At the same time, the FBI has led a search operation for Petito in the Grand Teton National Park, where she was last seen. This is where a dead person has now been found.
The car they were traveling in together was found at the couple’s home in Florida – where they lived with Laundrie’s parents
