Reporting from Antara, Friday (11/5), citing data from the Ministry of Health’s Directorate of Vector and Zoonotic Disease Prevention and Control, the death rate from dengue fever in 2021 also decreased compared to the previous year. That is 361 deaths until the 43rd week of 2021, while in 2020 there were 747 deaths.
But if you look at the distribution, dengue cases in 2020 are only in Java, Sumatra, and the Nusa Tenggara islands. Meanwhile, this year, DHF was also detected in Kalimantan and Sulawesi.
The average age of the most infected in the range of 15 to 44 years was 31.54 percent, 5 to 14 years 30.46 percent, over 44 years 24.73 percent, ages 1 to 4 years 10.68 percent, and infants under one year 2.60 percent.
Meanwhile, the five regencies/cities with the most dengue cases in Indonesia are Depok City with 2,235 cases, Bandung City 1,895 cases, Bekasi City 1,791 cases, Bandung Regency 947 cases, and Bogor Regency 797 cases.
The Ministry of Health has ensured that it continues to carry out dengue prevention and control by implementing the 1 house 1 Jumantik Movement (lattice monitor) in 154 regencies and cities, 6,122 Jumantik coordinators, 4,498 Jumantik supervisors, and 1,047 Port Jumantik Cadres.
Prevention of dengue fever that can be done by the community by eradicating mosquito nests (PSN), such as cleaning the environment around the house, draining stagnant water, throwing unused items that have accumulated.
