Suara.com – Microsoft in June officially released the operating system Windows 11 and the company ensures that only computers that meet the minimum spec requirements can use the new operating system. In addition TPM 2 or Trusted Platform Module 2 device must also be active.
Here are the minimum spec requirements for Windows 11 and how to enable TPM 2:
- At least have 4GB RAM
- Have at least 64 GB of internal memory space
- Minimum processor speed of 1 GHz. Here’s a list of eligible processors from the three chipset manufacturers: Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm.
- DirectX12 compatible graphics card and Windows Display Driver Model (WWDM) 2.0
- The computer screen is at least 9 inches wide (diagonal) and supports a minimum resolution of 720p.
Specifically to check the screen resolution, users can open Settings > System > Display. If the recommended screen is at least 1280 x 720 pixels, then the device can install Windows 11.

Then, Windows 11 also requires the Trusted Platform Module or TPM 2.0. TPM is in the form of a chip that is installed on the motherboard to secure encryption and secure hardware from cyber attacks and booting.
If not, consumers can buy TPM separately. But usually automatic TPM is available on Intel or AMD chipsets released in the last five or seven years.
Intel and AMD have added TPM technology to products released since 2013. This technology on average already supports TMP 2.0.
At Intel, this technology is usually named Intel Platform Trust Technology (Intel PTT). While AMD named it AMD Platform Security Processor (AMD PSP fTPM)
To check whether your laptop or computer supports TPM 2.0, you only need to type tpm.msc in the Windows 10 search field or type in the Windows+R shortcut.

Users will be directed to TPM Management on Local Computer. If the status says “The TPM is ready for use”, then the device can install Windows 11.
