The research was submitted by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Researcher. They claim geothermal heat continues to heat up twice as fast since 2005.
This is certainly dangerous if not anticipated properly. This phenomenon, as in research in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, is feared to spur global warming, contribute to rising ocean, air and land temperatures and accelerate the melting of ice.

Data from satellites collected and analyzed by researchers to measure the planet’s energy imbalance, which is the difference between how much energy the Earth absorbs from the Sun and how much can be reflected back into space.
A positive imbalance means that the earth absorbs more heat than it loses, which also means that from 2005 to 2019, there was a drastic increase in the amount of heat trapped on the Earth.
Scientists believe this phenomenon should be considered because it is thought to be related to increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide and methane, which have accumulated due to human activities, trapping heat in the Earth’s atmosphere.
Although it requires further study related to this, it is certain that humans are one of the biggest factors of geothermal heat that continues to grow.
“We are one of the causes,” said Loeb.
