microbiologist is not allowed to examine it, not to talk to the press – De Daily Standaard

The GGD is not at all open to new scientific insights that show that the corona virus can indeed be spread through the ventilation of buildings. This is evident from comments made by microbiologist Peter de Man, who told talk show Op1 yesterday that he had been actively opposed to research into this theme.

The fact that the health authorities in the Netherlands are very reluctant to admit that good ventilation is of vital importance is something Maurice de Hond has been writing about for quite some time. But the social geographer is certainly not the only scientist who has been patiently knocking on the doors of RIVM and GGD for months. Microbiologist Peter de Man does that too, and he is welcomed with nothing but opposition, skepticism and pressure not to speak to the press.

Which said De Man yesterday on NPO talk show On 1. De Man had investigated a building where a corona outbreak had taken place. The RIVM found that there was only a “dead virus”, and the GGD was the first to note that the scientist ‘should not have investigated this at all’. They also called on the microbiologist not to share his research findings with the press.

In fact, just before the broadcast, the GGD Rijnmond issued an express press release that contradicts De Man, which should show that there is no relationship between air circulation systems and the spread of the corona virus, despite the fact that there is now literal research that proves the contrary.
