Armed couple threaten Black Lives Matter protesters in St. Louis, Missouri

A man and woman, both armed, threatened Black Live Matter protesters walking past their home in St. Louis, Missouri. Amateur video shows the woman pointing a handgun as the man holds a gun. The protesters demanded the resignation of Lyda Krewson, mayor of the city, but had the bad surprise to see this armed couple during their passage.

Lyda Krewson had released on a Facebook Live the names and addresses of people in the city who had written to her in private with the aim of lowering or removing funds given to the city’s police departments. Messages written in reaction to the murder of George Floyd on May 25. “Black Lives Matter and MeToo, or the policy of vulnerable bodies”, by Eva Illouz

Despite a public apology and the removal of the live video, hundreds of protesters staged the march to get to his home and demand his resignation. The mayor has since announced that she does not intend to leave her post.

“History was written by the dominant”

During the course, the protesters passed in front of this imposing residence. The couple thus brandished weapons and aimed at the demonstrators from the steps. No degradation has, it seems, been noted on the house at the time of the passage of the procession.
